Ask Minette 13 - Happy Halloween!

A submission on ♥ Ask Minette. The final version is here.

God damn this took it's time getting done. I actually started this on October 28th with the plan of getting it done on the 30th - but nooo here it is being submitted November 11th :/

October/November is a very busy time for the Assistant Language Teacher (that's me) at my school as I generally have 2 or 3 extra meetings or lessons every day on addition to my normal teaching hours, so it was rough squeezing this in. This actually constitutes most of my SaD's for that time frame

I also hate working on pictures this long because all the faults become more and more glaring as time goes on. I was approaching the "Oh god I'm not submitting this awful picture" mood.

Anyways, here's a few bullet points about the picture:

- I had to draw Yu Wan twice because I had convinced myself the guy he's dressed as in the first version was an old Ahad character. Turns out he's one of the animators. The second Yu Wan doesn't fit very well at all, but I was in a rush at this point

- I figured Yu Wan's head would be way too massive to actually make a helmet for, so I thought it'd be funny this way. If I'd tinkered with it more it might have worked better, but it just looks odd now :/

- I originally planned on giving Minette a set of four manikin arms, but I was trying to get the pencils done fast and left them out. I really wish I'd put them in.

- You can see a few details appear on the lines in the color flat area - notably Yu Wan's eye patch and Street Urchin's skirts, which I had drawn wrong.

- I hate the coloring on this. It's too roundy and shiny.

- I also decided to not have them cast shadows on each other. I dunno why. It's not a huge amount of extra work, but I just left it off anyway

Anyway, Happy Halloween , y'all! Ask Minette will be back in action next month! I actually have a few penciled already and everything!
